Workplace Behaviour & Culture
10 courses
Employers are liable for the behaviour of their staff, including conduct at work functions and online. Anti-discrimination law, the Fair Work Act and work health and safety duties all bite on the same problem from different angles. Training has to move people past the policy summary and into the grey areas, where most complaints actually start, and give managers a workable response.
Which one do you need?
Anti-Bullying and Anti-Harassment Online Training is the baseline for all staff. Discrimination Prevention for Employees covers protected attributes, with Equal Employment Opportunity for Managers as the manager counterpart for recruitment, promotion and complaints. Racial Discrimination and Family and Domestic Violence go deeper on one topic each. Hungry Minds treats Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Unconscious Bias Awareness and Neurodiversity in the Workplace as culture courses, not legal minimums. Appropriate Behaviour at Work Functions is the December one.

Common questions
Should employees and managers do the same course?
Not usually. Employees need to recognise the behaviour and know how to report it. Managers carry extra duties: acting on what they see or are told, handling complaints without making things worse, and avoiding victimisation. Equal Employment Opportunity for Managers is built for that second group.
Does this training reduce our legal exposure?
It can help. Where an employer is vicariously liable for an employee's conduct, evidence of relevant training, live policies and consistent enforcement supports an argument that reasonable steps were taken. Training records alone will not carry it if the behaviour was tolerated in practice.
Do we need a separate course on work functions?
If you run Christmas parties, offsites or client events, yes. Conduct at work-related social events is generally still work conduct, and it is where a lot of complaints come from. Appropriate Behaviour at Work Functions targets that setting directly.
Is unconscious bias training a compliance requirement?
No. It is a culture and decision-quality course, most useful for hiring panels and performance reviewers. Treat it as a supplement to Discrimination Prevention for Employees, not a replacement.

Your policies, your scenarios
We rebuild compliance training around how your organisation actually works, so the training changes behaviour instead of recording completions.
